Meet the Voice Actors in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda is blasting into our systems as we speak, so we thought it would be the perfect time to check out some of the voice actors behind the characters. A few familiar faces make up the talented cohort of the Mass Effect: Andromeda cast, with many notable persons having appeared in popular television shows and games in the past!

Natalie Dormer

Starting off our list is the superbly talented Natalie Dormer, whom many will be familiar with for her role as Queen Margaery Tyrell in the hugely successful HBO series, Game of Thrones. For some, Natalie will be immediately recognizable for her involvement in the thrilling movie series, The Hunger Games, where she played the hardcore Cressida, while others might recognize her as Anne Boleyn from The Tudors.

Wherever you know her from, we’ll all soon be intimately familiar with her role as an Asari scientist by the name of Dr Lexi T’Perro in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Not much is known about the doc, other than her dry wit, conflicting opinions with the Pathfinder, and her crush on Drack.

Dannah Feinglass Phirman

Dannah Feinglass Phirman makes her triumphant return to the Mass Effect franchise as Avina, the Citadel VI (Virtual Intelligence), an artificial intelligence program that speaks with Shepard over the course of the previous titles.

Dannah Feinglass Phriman is also known for her work in Monsters University and Phineas and Ferb. We’re extremely excited that we’ll be able to see a familiar face and hear a familiar voice while we’re travelling around the strange and foreign Andromeda galaxy!

Clancy Brown

Clancy Brown is the voice of Alec Ryder, and Mr. KrabsClancy Brown is another familiar face for some of our older gamers, having starred in such classics as Starship Troopers as Sgt. Zim and Highlander as Victor Kruger. However, Clancy has had experience voice acting as – this will definitely surprise you – Mr. Krabs from Spongebob Squarepants! His list of credits is extensive, so we’re excited about the experience he can bring to the table as Alec Ryder, the father of the Ryder siblings.

It’s currently unknown whether you’ll get to cross paths with your father, Alec, but the vastness of space has a way of drawing people together. We’re fairly certain you’ll be coming across Alec Ryder in Mass Effect: Andromeda, and we can’t wait to see how that plays out!

Fryda Wolff

It only makes sense to follow Alec Ryder with his daughter, Sara Ryder, voiced by the hugely popular Fryda Wolff. Fryda has an incredibly long list of appearances in all manner of videos games. She exploded onto the voice acting scene in 2012 for her work on The Secret World. From there, Fryda went on to voice Stacy in Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Mira from Killer Instinct, Vault Security from Fallout 4, and even Razma from the recent Conan Exiles game.

Taking on the role of the player’s main character, Sara Ryder, is a massive responsibility, and one we cannot wait to see Fryda Wolff pull off!

Tom Taylorson

Tom Taylorson Scott Ryder Mass Effect Andromeda

Finally, rounding off our list is Tom Taylorson, the man who will be taking up the mantle of voicing one of the Ryder siblings, Scott Ryder, as he takes on the Andromeda galaxy with his twin sister, Sara Ryder. Though this isn’t Tom Taylorson’s first rodeo in video game voice acting, he hasn’t had the amount of experience as some of the other actors on this list.

In saying that, if BioWare were so impressed that they had to get Tom Taylorson as the voice of a main character in Mass Effect: Andromeda, we cannot wait to see what he has to offer. What’s equally exciting about the main characters being twins is that regardless of who you chose to play as, Scott or Sara, the other sibling will become a part of your crew as an NPC!

To say we’re excited about Mass Effect: Andromeda would be an understatement. Let us know what you think of the latest chapter in the Mass Effect universe so far!
