Elmsford, NY, January 10, 2012 – Turtle Beach, market-leading pioneers of the gaming headset category, today announced the Ear Force® X42 and Ear Force® X32 wireless headsets for the Xbox 360®. These two models combine outstanding comfort with cutting edge dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi technology that virtually eliminates wireless interference. Additionally, the X42 model includes a new post-processing system for Dolby® Surround Sound that allows for adjustment of the position of the virtual 5.1 speakers, to create the perfect surround sound effect for every listener. The new X42 and X32 headsets can be seen along with the full offering of Turtle Beach products at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 1 – Booth #21327, during the International Consumer Electronics Show from January 10 to 13, 2012.

The Ear Force® X42 replaces Turtle Beach’s award-winning X41 model, featuring Dolby® Surround Sound, Xbox LIVE® chat and debuts a 2.4/5GHz dual band Wi-Fi transmission for crystal-clear game audio. The headset works within the same Wi-Fi band used by wireless networks, coexisting with other wireless devices and avoiding interference to provide the best possible signal and keep audio fidelity at its peak.

Equally noteworthy, the Ear Force X42 also introduces Turtle Beach’s new post-processing system for Dolby® Surround Sound. This technology enable a user to select between six different speaker angle settings to optimize the 5.1 surround sound effect and hear subtle directional details on the battlefield with 360 degree accuracy, from enemy footsteps to weapon reloads. Combining comfort, style and stunning game audio with enhanced online communication, the X42 puts you in the middle of the action so you’ll enjoy a gaming experience that’s second to none.

The Ear Force X32 replaces the popular X31 model and elevates your Xbox 360® gaming experience to a new level with superior stereo sound and a crystal-clear wireless connection. Boasting the same 2.4/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi wireless technology as the X42, comfortable and proven ergonomic design, exceptional sound quality and Xbox LIVE ® online chat; the X32 should be one of best sellers of the year. Included audio preset technology lets X32 owners combine equalizer and sound field expander presets to customize their gaming experience.

“The X32 and X42 are designed for Xbox gamers that want great wireless sound and comfort at a great value,” said Michael Arzt, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Turtle Beach. “Between our new 2.4/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi technology, and the customizable Dolby® Surround Sound angles, these amazing headsets are even better than their very popular predecessors; they had to be!”
