The Ear Force AK-R8 routes 5.1 channel sound from your PC via the USB connection and directs each channel to independent speakers for front, surround, center and sub-woofer channels, just like a surround sound speaker system. The Audio Advantage SRM sound card/amplifier unit connects to your PC or laptop via the USB ports and serves as a 5.1 headphone amplifier, digital signal processing system and full-featured sound card. You can connect stereo speakers to the SRM line output, so whenever you want to listen with the headphones, simply turn down your speakers--there’s no need to reach behind your PC and unplug cables!
The headphones connect to the SRM unit with a rugged multi-pin connector, making it easy to unplug the headphones and leave the SRM connected to your PC and speakers. You can also connect an external sound source, such as an MP3 player, and listen on your speakers or headphones.
The SRM software allows you to control every aspect of this powerful audio system and also provides digital signal processing to enhance the sound with multi-band equalization and ambiance effects to simulate concert hall realism.
