Turtle Beach® Announces Catalina™ and Riviera™ Sound Cards
– Two new cards round out sound card line –
Yonkers, NY, 03/23/2003 --
Turtle Beach today announced two new multi-channel sound cards—Catalina™ and Riviera™-—rounding out the product line started with its wildly successful Santa Cruz™. Both cards will be available in the next several weeks from major computer and electronics retailers, as well as directly from Turtle Beach.
"With the addition of these two cards, we can now offer customers an opportunity to choose between a wider range of models offering legendary Turtle Beach multi-channel sound quality." said Seth Dotterer, Director of Marketing, Voyetra Turtle Beach. "We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with Santa Cruz, which won a tremendous number of awards and accolades, so we felt it was time to broaden our product line with a full-line of feature-rich sound cards."
The new models support home-theater quality multi-channel analog outputs and optical digital connections, making them ideal for gamers, musicians, audio enthusiasts, or for building a new PC. As with all Turtle Beach sound card products, each includes a rich selection of software for creating and enjoying music.
Catalina, with an MSRP of $79, offers eight analog outputs for supporting 2, 4, 5.1, and 7.1 multi-channel speaker configurations. In addition, it features optical digital input and output for transferring 24 bits/96KHz high-resolution audio–making it an ideal choice for gamers, musicians and audiophiles.
Riviera, with an MSRP of $39.95, provides an affordable way to upgrade PCs with multi-channel sound, featuring six analog outputs for supporting 2, 4, and 5.1 channel speaker configurations. In addition, it features an analog joystick/midi port and optical S/PDIF output for driving digital 5.1 speaker systems and home theater systems.
