Q. I have verified the username/password on the domain controller. I can login to the computer (and others on the network) and access the share. I am able to access files on a Windows 98 machine using the share password and on a linux machine via Samba with no problem. Incidentally, I can also play radio stations with no problem.
The problem occurs before the AudioTron can access the share. The W2k event log shows that the user is not even able to authenticate. There seems to be something wrong in the way the authentication is occuring.
Notice that in the successful event, the domain displays in the "Domain" section instead of in the "User Name" section. I don't know why this is, but it looks to me like something is wrong in the way the authentication is sent from the AudioTron to the W2k server.
A. We don't believe that the AudioTron will authenticate correctly to a Domain Controller. You may wish to try creating an account directly on the machine that you want the AudioTron to access and see if this helps. We are sorry, but at present we do not have anymore information.
