Chirping on WMA v9 tracks

Q:  I just started ripping with the newly released Windows Media Version 9 
    and the tracks are chirping on the Audiotron. They are fine on the server.
    No problems with MP3 or WMA8 for years now. Running 3.0.27, 
    Encoding at 192k. 


A:  Windows Media Version 9 introduced a few high bitrate WMA issues. If VBR
    at the highest rate is causing skipping, this has been addressed in later
    Firmware. You should be using: 3.2.25.
