Recording & Playback

Q:  I am using a Tascam US-122, USB Audio/MIDI interface with my laptop 
    and was able to select the USB input for recording (through the Recording 
    Wizard feature) but I cannot get a playback signal through the interface.
    I was not able to find any option allowing me to select the output.  
    I was really hoping to playback using the interface rather than the 
    soundcard on the laptop.
 
A:  AudioSurgeon is going to use the audio device that is configured in 
    the Multimedia setup (or Sounds and Audio Devices in XP) in the Windows
    Control Panel. So in the 'Sounds and Audio Device Properties click on the
    Audio tab and make sure it's configured for playback through your Tascam 
    US-122.
