TM Piano - FAQs

Metronome Setup - Adjusting
Launch the Teach Me Piano software and click on Lessons. Sign in and click on
the key marked Setup. You should have Extended Synth (Drums on channel 10)
selected.

Select your MIDI input (this will be the MIDI interface that you are using to
connect your musical keyboard to the computer) and your MIDI output (this will
usually be the Microsoft MIDI Mapper). Your Patch Map will be General MIDI by
default. Please make sure that you have the MIDI Thru box checked or you will
not be able to hear the parts you are playing.

Click OK to finish the setup.

***

The Metronome feature is available from the Song Book. When you click on Do
It, the metronome will count out x amount of bars prior to starting. This is a
user adjustable feature. To adjust any of the metronome features, click on the
metronome icon at the bottom left hand corner of your screen. You can adjust
how many bars play prior to the start of a piece by changing the Metronome
Lead In to the desired amount of bars to play prior to the start of the piece.

The default is one bar. You can also adjust the Solo level (what you play),
the Accompaniment level (what the computer plays), the volume of the
narration, the instrument to play (the default is the piano), the tempo of
the music (you can make this faster or slower) whether or not to show finger
numbers, note names, or to play video footage.

Once you are finished setting up the features here, click OK.
