Q: I was in the process of installing the Power Producer Express software when I received a CRC error. The following message popped up: CRC error: The file C:Program FileCyberLinkPowerProducerExpress ltfil1ON.DLL doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor. There were 3 boxes below this message; Abort, Retry, and Ignore. I repeatedly selected Retry but the installation would not continue. The installation stopped at 36%.
A: The file, ltfil1ON.dll is not one of our files or required for the install. This may be part of a virus or spyware that is or was on your computer. Please make sure that you are using a good anti-virus program with the latest Virus Definitions installed. You may want to do a little research on this and find a way to remove the reference of this file from your computer. Unfortunately, we are unable to solve this problem for you as it is user specific and is not related to our software or install. You can try completely uninstalling the software and hardware, turning off all applications running in the background and then re-installing the software. After you have re-installed the software, power down your computer and re-install the hardware. Power up your computer and see if you receive the same error.
If the problem persists, you might wish to try copying the contents of the installation CD onto your hard drive and run the Installation from there. _____________________________________________________________________________ |
