Background on DVDs - How to change:
Q: I am using Power Director and Power Producer to transfer my VHS collection
to DVD. There is a back ground that is on every DVD that I have finished.
It is at the beginning of each DVD where you click on the thumbnail view
to start playing the movie. I would like to change that back ground but I
cannot find the instructions on how to do it. Could you tell me how to do
this and also where it is located in the manual.

A: Once you have your edited video created in Power Director:
    - Click on the Burn button to launch the Power Producer
    - Click on DVD and then click the right arrow to get to the next screen
    - Choose your media files for your DVD
    - Click the right arrow button to get to the Preview Window
    - Underneath the Preview Window you will see an option for changing the
       Menu background
    - Simply point the browser to the file you would like to use instead of
       the default image

There is an extensive help file available in the Power Producer. Simply
click on the question mark at the upper right hand corner of your screen
    to access it.

DV Feature:
Q: How do I use the DV feature of this product? I have a Canon with mini USB
output, instructions say use only firewire to capture DV. Where do I go
    from here?

A: In order to use your camera you would use the analog outputs (composite,
S-Video) to capture from. The term DV compliant means that the camera has
    a 1394 port built in.

                       *****************************

Q: 1. How do I make Chapters in the DVD?
    2. How I create a menu?
    3. How do I find information on Menus and Chapters?

A: You can find this info in the Power Director software:
    - Click on Help->Search Help Topics
    - In the dialog type producing your movie.

Fragmented movie:
Q: When I capture a movie it has been in two or more parts is there a
way that I can capture a complete movie in one clip.

A: Depending on the length of the movie that you are trying to capture, you
can capture in one long file or in 2 or more smaller files. In the
AdFullCap software, click on the file tab. Under the File Length heading,
the Max File Size by default is 4 GB. If your file is larger than this,
as you are capturing, then you will end up with multiple files. Changing
this number to zero will turn this feature off.

Q: How do I clean up the audio while it is still combined with the video
(without separating it from the video track). I was to use the function
on your audio doctor which cleans up audio artifacts from tape. Can I do
this WHILE I am capturing the video? If not, how do I clean up the audio
without separating it from the video track. thanks.

A: Unfortunately, you cannot clean up the audio track while capturing. This
involves an editing process which needs to take place after you have
captured your audio information. The only way to clean up the audio track
is to split it from the video track, clean it up (using either the Audio
Surgeon or the audio editor of your choice and then re-import the audio
track back into the Power Director, using the time line feature which will
make it easier to line up both the audio and video tracks so that they are
    in sync.

Edit the file size.
Q: I want to remove the final 35 minutes of the recording and then burn the
remaining movie to a DVD. I have to do this to get it to fit on a DVD,
otherwise I get a statement saying that the record is too long to burn in
at standard speed. How do I remove this 35 minutes of recording in plain
English step-by-step instructions? Also if you wish to instruct me as to
    where to find the directions.

A: Here are instructions to edit the file size.
    1) Import your file
