DVDs are designed to work differently from CDs. When you burn a DVD movie
disc, it's assumed that you'll want to 'play' the DVD movie in a DVD player
connected to a TV. What you want to do is burn a 'data' DVD -- basically a
bigger version of a data CD.
It's sort of like the difference between a data CD (only readable in a
computer, so you can see the files contained in it) and an audio CD (playable
in a CD player, connected to your stereo).
