CD Kits Upgrade - FAQs

TBS 810 / 6600 / 8800 Overview
The Turtle Beach multimedia kits TBS810, 6600, and 8800 each come packaged
with one of three different sound cards: TBS 929, TBS 930, and TBS 931.

These sound cards differ by the chipset and CD-ROM interfaces on board.
However, they all have the same audio specs and there is no advantage or
disadvantage to having one over the other.

TBS 929
This sound card can be identified by the OPTi 82c929 chip on the card. It
also has four different CD-ROM drive interfaces on board. These are the rows
of pins on the left hand side of the board.

TBS 930
This sound card can be identified by the OPTi 82c930 chip on the card. It
has just one CD-ROM drive interface on the board.

TBS 931
This sound card can be identified by the OPTi 82c931 chip on the card. It
has just one CD-ROM drive interface on the board and is a Plug'n'Play card.
