Monterey - FAQs

Monterey
The Monterey was the premier Turtle Beach high-end card circa 1993. It is
made up of the Tahiti sound card (for digital audio) and the Rio daughterboard
(for General MIDI).

The card has line-level-only input and output to provide the highest quality
possible. The Monterey can be upgraded with SIP (not SIMM) memory of 256 KB,
1 MB or 4 MB. This allows the use of SampleStore technology for sampling.

For additional troubleshooting and technical information, please see the
articles for the Tahiti.
