Ear Force HPA, HPA2 - FAQs

Distortion Defective?
Q: I get crackling and distortion from the subwoofers. It sounds like the speakers
are blown. How can I fix this?

A: Please keep the Subwoofer level from your Sound Card low, so that you do not overdrive / overload
the Subwoofers on the Headphones. As with any speaker, if you go past the tolerance Input level,
the first symptom will be distortion, followed by Headphone damage. Even a short 'spike' is capable
of blowing the drivers and this is quite common with unexpected Game Exposions.

Please keep in mind that due to size restrictions, in spite of technological innovations, there is no
way to reproduce the low Frequencies generated by a 15" Speaker or Subwoofer cabinet, that is
specifically 'tuned' to reproduce Low Frequencies.

If you are trying to reproduce the 'sound effect' generated by large speakers, there is a great risk that
you might overload and damage your Headphones (or/and your ears). This would be a typical
'user-error' not covered by the Warranty. Also, we do not accept any *ENT* bills!!!
