The Ear Force "X" series of gaming headsets are designed specifically for use with the Xbox 360 game console and the "P" series are designed specifically for the PS3 game console. However, some of them can also be used with PC and/or Mac for Skype or other Internet telephony applications (VoIP, "voice over Internet Protocol").

CURRENT PRODUCTS:
PX22, PX21/Foxtrot, P11, Kilo:
The PX22, PX21/Foxtrot, P11, and Kilo will work with PC or Mac for VoIP applications such as Skype etc. Connect both the USB and green 3.5 mm plugs to your PC. Set your Playback/Output Device as your default speakers, and your Recording/Input Device as your Turtle Beach headset.
PX3/Bravo:
The PX3 is an excellent wireless headset for PC or Mac. The PX3's wireless transmitter connects to a USB port on your PC or Mac. Switched to either PC/Mac mode or PS3 mode, the PX3 will work for VoIP applications such as Skype and Ventrilo.
PX51/XP510, PX5/XP500/Delta, XP400/X-Ray, XP300, Tango:
These are not directly compatible with a PC, unless your PC has a built-in Bluetooth interface for the headset's microphone and chat channel. Alternatively, you can add a Bluetooth USB adapter and pair that to the headset's Bluetooth for use with VoIP applications like Skype and Ventrilo. (Additional connections are required for game audio from a PC. For details on surround sound playback, click here. For stereo sound playback, click here.)
PLa
Designed for PS3, the PLa can be used on PC or Mac as a USB headset for both chat and game audio. In your sound settings, set both the Playback/Output device and the Recording/Input device to the PLa.
X12:
The Ear Force X12 is basically an update of our popular X11, and so is one of the easiest of our headsets to use with a PC. It has a pink Microphone plug and a green Line Out plug (both are 3.5 mm plugs), as well as a USB plug for power. You use the X12 the same way you'd use a standard headset with mic.
X32, X42:
The X32 and X42 cannot be used with a PC for VoIP applications, unless you have a WIRED Xbox 360 controller. You would need to install the controller's driver from the Microsoft website, and use it as a USB audio device. A wireless Xbox 360 controller will not work. Our PS3/PC Chat Adapter works, too. (Additional connections are required for game audio from a PC. For details on X42 surround sound playback, click here. For X32 and X42 stereo sound playback, click here.)
XP Seven, Z Seven, Sierra:
The Audio Control Unit included with the XP7, Z7, and Sierra handles both the chat connection and game audio via USB when connected directly to a PC or Mac.
