The USB bus power on the Xbox 360 is known for being noisy and carrying hum.  It seems that the Microsoft Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit (controller charger) emits an electromagnetic field that may interfere with your Turtle Beach headset, causing a continuous buzzing sound. Please note that this is not a problem with the Turtle Beach Headset.

SOLUTIONS:
1) Please charge your controller while playing with the speaker
system and not the headset. Then when you want to play with
your headset, you can disconnect the Play & Charge Kit
and use the controller without it. That way you can keep your
controller charged and use your headphones when you need to.

2) Instead of plugging your headphones USB plug into the front
of the Xbox, you can use an AC to USB converter instead.
That would allow the headset to get its power from a different
circuit than your battery charger, which should remove the
   problem.

This accessory is available on our Web Site in our Accessories
section and it is called: "USB Power Adapter". It can be used
with the following products: X1, X11, X12, X31, X41, XL1, PX1, PX21, PX3.

Using the PX5 you can adjust the "Noise Gate" to compensate for this.

Also, you might consider trying another wired controller in case it is defective.

NOTE: A buzzing sound can also be caused by a Ground Loop.

To avoid this problem you may also plug your play and charge kit into the USB port on your laptop or pc. This doesn't put off that annoying sound.

May I suggest that this also be put in the Mic section as I just found that while charging my controller, the chat channel would emit a buzzing sound.

The second option worked for us. I used my iphone's USB to AC jack to test out hte concept and immediately saw a difference.
