One side bad?

Where the red and white plugs from the PS3 connect to the red and white jacks on the P21 audio input cable:

- Plug the red RCA plug from the PS3 to the *white* RCA
  jack from the P21 audio cable.
 
- Plug the white RCA plug from the PS3 to the *red* RCA
  jack from the P21 audio cable.

- Now play sound from your PS3 and listen in the headphones.

If the sound switched sides (right to left, or left to right)? then one of the ear cups has failed.
