How to Hear Footsteps Better In Warzone

June 22, 2022

What are the best Warzone audio settings to hear footsteps? Well, we’ll tell you one thing, it’s certainly not he default settings.

For those maybe still learning the ropes of Warzone (or any first-person shooter) footsteps and several other audio cues can be incredibly important figuring out where the enemy is coming from.

If you can hear your enemy’s footsteps as they approach you, then you might be able to defend yourself before they get the drop on you. In some cases this might only be the difference between a few seconds, but that’s sometimes all you’ll need to help get you out of a difficult situation.

Here’s a few quick tips to instantly boost your footstep audio in Call of Duty Warzone.

The best Warzone audio settings to hear Enemy Footsteps

Use the following audio settings in Warzone to help make enemy footsteps louder:

  • Audio Mix: Boost Low
  • Master Volume: 50%
  • Music Volume: 0%
  • Dialogue Volume: 20%
  • Effects Volume: 100%
  • Cinematics Volume: 50%
  • Juggernaut Music: Disabled

For those wondering why you want the Audio Mix set to boost low, it’s because its generally agreed that this will make footsteps louder.

Now, in addition to the above, Call of Duty content creator MrMarvelTV also suggests downloading the Dolby Access App if you play on Xbox. Once downloaded you’ll want to go to the audio settings in the app and boost specific levels to make footsteps sound even louder and clearer.

“Footsteps are usually between 100Hz and 300Hz, or 2kHz or 3kHz,” MrMarvelTV suggests, So you want those settings to be higher, and once you’ve increased these click the enable button.
