Deadlock has been Valve's worst-kept secret since the closed beta became public during the Summer of 2024.
Now, the Old Gods, New Blood update has arrived, and it's introduced a brand new game mode in the form of Street Brawl.

Deadlock is the latest game from Valve, and much like their other titles, this one is diving into a category they aren't specifically known for, which is MOBAs.
Street Brawl is Valve's latest game mode in Deadlock, and it draws significant similarities to ARAM, in the sense of picking unique power-ups for your characters at certain points.
As well, the game mode is a single lane 4v4 best of five battle, meaning you're constantly getting into fights and not having to worry about the laning phase.
Valve has described Street Brawl as the following:
- Short Game Format
- Join a quick 4v4 battle for the city over a best-of-five match. Each round takes a couple of minutes.

- Streamlined Shopping
- Players choose from a random set of items, adding three items to their inventory each round.

- Level Playing Field
- Each round players start with equal resources. No farming.
