SHOULD YOU THROW ROCKET IN GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the best games to release in 2021 and whilst it enjoyed strong reviews, Square-Enix has suggested that sales of the game “undershot initial expectations”.
But thanks to strong word of mouth, several Bafta nominations, and the game’s recent arrival on services like Xbox Games Pass and PS Plus Extra, there’s arguably never been a better time to download and try out Eidos-Montréal’s latest outing. We’d certainly love to see the developer given another shot at a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel having now been purchased by the Embracer Group in 2022.

Should You Let Drax Throw Rocket? Guardians of the Galaxy Choice Explained
Chapter 3 of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is called ‘The Cost of Freedom’ and finds our Guardians venturing across Seknarf 9 as they intend to sell either Rocket or Groot to Lady Hellbender. But before you reach Lady Hellbender’s fortress, you have to navigate some difficult terrain, which includes two chasms.
On both occasions, the crew will spot a retractable Chitauri bridge, but it can only be activated from the other side. At this point Drax will offer to throw Rocket across the gap and Peter has to make a choice.
You can either stop Drax, or encourage Drax to throw Rocket.
The first thing to note is that there are no long-term consequences to throwing Rocket. Besides making him furious, your decision won’t impact the wider story in any way. In the short term, it does make a difference.
If you throw Rocket you’ll create a shortcut, but if you stop Drax you will need to take a slightly longer route to get to the other side. The longer route will only take a couple of extra minutes to achieve. So it doesn’t matter all that much.
Do note that if you encourage Drax to throw Rocket the first time, you won’t be able to throw him the second time. So either way, you’re taking the long route round at least once.
