Overwatch is effectively rebooting itself: dropping the '2' from its name, the game is turning back the clock to Season 1 again.

How Does Competitive Work In Overwatch? Skill Divisions Explained
The ranking system has seen some changes throughout the course of Overwatch 2, and going into Season 1 of OW, these changes will remain largely unchanged.
However, the mode has seen some changes to the way you're placed into your Rank, and how the lost/win protection operates.
The overall ranks of players will remain unchanged as the following ranks are what players will be seeking:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
- Master
- Grandmaster
- Champion
- Top 500/Challenger
All ranks besidse 'Top 500' have five divisions within each rank, meaning you'll need to climb your way to make it out of a rank.
