Black Myth Wukong is yet another souls like that is coming to players this year, and it has caught our eyes ever since it was announced. 

Now, we're gearing up to dive into the action, and you'll want to know if it strikes similarities to a souls game.

Black Myth Wukong has been leaning into the genre with it's dramatic trailers that we've seen over the last year. 

In regards to a release date, players will be able to dive into the game on August 20, 2024 and it'll be playable on the majority of major platforms.

In terms of the actual gameplay though, all signs and gameplay footage that we've seen thus far has indicated that yes, it is a souls like.

While it won't strike the notes of Dark Souls 3 for instance, there is some drastic comparisons between the game and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. 

We'll have to wait and see how deep the style of combat becomes when it releases.
