Generation 10 has now been officially announced, and Pokemon Winds and Waves are the next games on many of our playlists.

At the February 2026 Pokémon Presents, we finally got our first glimpse at the franchise’s next evolution, and it looks seriously impressive.
Winds and Waves marks a major leap forward for Pokémon, with a clear focus on enhanced visuals and a more expansive world, all in all.
Regarding what we know about the game being a Switch 2, Nintendo has seemingly confirmed that yes it will indeed be a Switch 2 exclusive, as their announcment page for Winds and Waves reads as follows:
"Developed by GAME FREAK exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, these new titles feature an open world to explore, with beautiful windswept islands and a vast ocean with glittering waves."
