Free to try on Steam and the Epic Games Store and fully releasing in Q1 2027, QUIET casts 1–4 players as alien ducks who must sneak through a house to collect spaceship parts in order to repair their broken ship and escape Earth. Normal so far. However, some dark and spooky things creep the halls of this (for some reason) spaceship-part-filled home, and those things are always listening. Each sound that you make —including the sounds that you, the player in real life, make— can alert the lurking evil. Let’s just say you’ll have bigger things to worry about than escaping Earth if you make too much noise.
In a strange twist, the game requires a microphone to play, but not explicitly for not talking into. Rather, the game monitors sounds in your real-life environment and punishes you if you get too loud. Remaining quiet is the name of the game (literally!), so the challenge is to not scream when the game tries to get you. But it’s not just you that needs to be quiet—you’d better tell your nosy roommates and pets to pipe down too! You’ve got ducks to save, after all!
