Escape From Tarkov is the hardcore extraction shooter that fits a perfect niche within the gaming community, and fans have adored the title for quite some time now.
One of the main mechanics of the game is the usual wipes, and during the next wipe, players are going to be able to take advantage of the new armor plate features.

How Do Armor Plates Work In Escape From Tarkov?
Tarkov typically has its wipe every six months or so, with the last one occurring back in August, 2023; so at first glance it appears to be a bit early for a brand new Tarkov wipe, this time it is a special circumstance. During the December 2022 wipe is when they added the most recent map, Streets of Tarkov.
Now, for December 2023, the update is going to bring some outstanding quality of life changes to the game, and one of these is the ways in how players will interact with their armor. This will now be done via armor plates, so players will be able to get more life out of their armor itself, and will be able to use different levels of plates, so their armor can perform better.
Players will be able to swap in and out some of the best plates in the game, as these are going to offer better protection, and you can inset these into all aspects of your armor kit, along with your helmet.
