What Is Intelligence Movement In Black Ops 6? Answered

Black Ops 6 has relaying information to fans like we've never seen before, and all of our questions are being answered, as the game looks stellar.

Now, we're getting some further insight into the omnidirectional movement and the intelligence movement that is going to be a main focal point in the game.

Here's what we know.

What Is Intelligence Movement In Black Ops 6? Answered

Black Ops 6 is aiming to reignite the series full force, as the sentiment has been incredibly positive compared to previous reveals thus far.

The new movement system is one of the major selling points for players so far, and Treyarch has added a new feature called intelligence movement, which as the name suggests, will respond to certain moves made by you.

They've noted it as the following.

In addition to Omnimovement, Black Ops 6 also features Intelligent Movement, which is a brand-new way for players to customize three elements of how Operators traverse the landscape. Available in the Keyboard & Mouse or Controller Options under “Movement,” you’re able to adjust the following features:

  • Sprint Assist: Choose whether you want to manually or automatically sprint, tactically sprint, how much of a delay you want before sprinting begins, and if the assist occurs while sprinting sideways or backwards (due to Omnimovement).
  • Mantle Assist: Customize whether you want you automatically mantle over no objects, low obstacles, or all obstacles that can be mantled.
  • Crouch Assist: This enables crouching and sliding when your intent is to move through a valid opening (i.e., one requiring you to crouch).
  • Corner Slice: Allows you to simulate a corner slice, the act of inclining your weapon (and camera) when adjacent to or moving around a corner. This doesn’t affect your aim. Default is “on.”

Sprint Assist: You can choose how this behaves. This can be switched off (default), turned on, or just related to Tactical Sprint Assist.

  • Off: Sprint is activated manually with the Sprint button.

  • On: Full movement input will activate Sprint after the Sprint Assist Delay time.

  • Tactical Sprint Assist: Forward movement input will activate Tactical Sprint after the Sprint Assist Delay time. Sideways and Backward movement can also be separated to activate Sprint after the Sprint Assist Delay time.

  • Sprint Assist Delay: This is the amount of time (in milliseconds) of movement input before Sprint Assist activates. You can choose from zero (default) to 1,000 milliseconds (or one second) delay in 50 millisecond increments.

  • Sprint Assist Sideways and Backwards: Default is “on” and allows Sprint Assist to activate when moving in the specified directions.

Mantle Assist: You can choose how this behaves. This can be switched off (default), set to Low Mantle Assist, or turned on.

  • Off: Mantling (the movement over traversable objects) is activated contextually with the Jump button.

  • Low Mantle Assist: Mantle Assist activates when sprinting towards low obstacles.

  • On: Mantle Assist activates when sprinting towards all obstacles that can be mantled.

  • Sideways and Backwards: Mantle Assist can also be activated when sprinting sideways or backwards towards low obstacles. Default is “off” for both, though they can be set to “on” for either or both movement options.

  • Tactical Sprint Only: You can set Mantle Assist to activate only while Tactical Sprinting. Default is “off.”

  • Mantle Cancels Reload: Mantle Assist activates while reloading, canceling the reload. Default is “on.”

Crouch Assist: You can enable or disable this function:

  • Off: This is the default setting and allows you to Crouch or Slide manually with the Change Stance button.

  • On: Crouch Assist activates when Walking or Sprinting forward towards a valid opening.

  • Tactical Sprint Only: Crouch Assist only activates when Tactical Sprinting towards a valid opening. Default is “off.”
