Modern Warfare 3 is now the main focal point for Call of Duty fans for the next while, and with the game being released now, players are amped to dive into this years content.
With the release of the brand new COD, comes new trophies for players to hunt, but it may not be worth it this year thanks to an omission on Infinity Wards behalf.
Modern Warfare 3 Will Not Feature a Platinum Trophy Unfortunately
Platinum Trophies have been one of the best incentives for players to 100% titles in the past, as it becomes worth it for a lot of players to do these crazy and unique challenges.
We’ve seen players speed-run for Platinum Trophies, similar to when Spider-Man 2 released, but with the new COD and trophy hunters aiming for this one to be one of the easier platniums of 2023, Infinity Ward has shut this down.
PowerPyx broke the news on X just in time for the MW3 campaign to be released in early access to players, and they have noted that yes indeed, there is no platinum trophy for players to obtain.
Of course, this has upset fans, with many citing that its foolish to not include a platinum trophy in a modern day release, as we see these within every release. However, perhaps with the backlash we could see Infinity Ward change this in the near future.
