Hideo Kojima is perhaps one of the most known faces within the gaming industry, and his next title is going to be a continuation of the beloved Death Stranding.

Death Stranding 2: Do I Need To Play The First One Before?
While the game premiered the worldwide trailer during The Game Awards 2022, we've had a flurry of trailers in the years that have followed.
One aspect of these games for which Kojima is well known is the inclusion of mysterious elements throughout, and it still feels like we don't know much about the sequel.
In regards to the story, it appears that it won't be a requirement to play the first one before diving into Death Stranding 2. However, we recommend at least getting caught up with the story/events that occurred in the first installment, and you can do so via the main menu of Death Stranding 2.
