Modern Warfare 2 Developers Address Players Biggest Concerns From Beta

Settings

Modern Warfare 2 is the new iteration of the legendary Call of Duty franchise, and with the game just having completed it's beta, we're getting some feedback from Infinity Ward.

This is relayed from the concerns players have had with some of the issues within the game, some include the new Dead Silence and the mini-map.

Here's what Infinity Ward has had to say.

Modern Warfare 2 Developers Address Players Biggest Concerns From Beta

During the Modern Warfare 2 beta, there was some core issues that players want changed before the game releases, and Infinity Ward wanted to know some of these issues.

Furthermore, they've addressed some of these feedback channels that players have inputed towards them, and some of their answers, aren't what players are looking for.

Here's what Infinity Ward has had to say with some of the issues in MW2.

"While sentiment around footstep audio was more positive in Beta Weekend Two, we have seen your continued feedback on the volume of footsteps and will continue to balance enemy/friendly footstep audio ahead of launch.

Enemy visibility is something that came up throughout both weekends of our Beta. While many of you remarked on the improvement in Weekend Two, we’ll look to tweak increased enemy visibility to allow for better visual tracking of opponents that is not solely the traditional nameplate.

Disbanding lobbies are another topic we addressed during Beta. We feel this is an important feature and are actively looking for potential solutions for launch.

In terms of weapons, we are very happy with the results of the weapon tuning changes we made for Weekend Two for the Beta. We have more changes to come given weapon performance in the Beta and we're very excited for everyone to get hands on with ALL of the weapons in MWII!

We were excited to see so much interest in our Third-Person playlist. We have heard feedback on the camera shoulder-swapping, and we will continue to make refinements to this mode for launch. More to come!

Ground War and Invasion also got a lot of love from players in Beta. Thanks to our diligent fans, we have many bugs to work through in both of our Battle Map modes. We also have some improvements coming for AI navigation for Invasion."

So it appears they're listening, but we'll have to wait and see what further issues they're going to adjust closer to launch!
