With heroes such as Venture being teased for Season 10, we first have to dive into Season 8 and get to check out Mauga.

When Does Overwatch 2 Season 8 Release?
While Blizzcon 2023 has passed now, players got to check out the brand-new hero, Mauga over the weekend, and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive for the most part.
So, the excitement is building to say the least, and Season 8 will be the finale before the New Year, and 2024 is also gearing up to be an exciting time to be an Overwatch 2 player, as Blizzard is reworking various systems.
In terms of when Season 8 is going to be released, this has now been confirmed to be December 5th, 2023; as this was shown during the Mauga reveal trailer for players, and we’re stoked.
So, at the time of writing, this leaves just under a month to finish those battle passes and get prepared for the journey that Mauga is going to take us on, as the meta is going to shift quite a bit we suspect.
