June 11, 2019

E3 2019 is currently in full swing, and Day 2 of the biggest event in the video game world gave the community plenty of announcements to be extremely excited about heading into the future. While there was a whole array of major reveals that took place on Monday, June 10th, we have gathered together the showings that really stole the spotlight.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Everyone’s favorite hacker themed video game franchise is back, as Ubisoft officially revealed Watch Dogs: Legion during its E3 2019 press conference. Set in a dystopian London, Watch Dogs: Legion will allow you to play in a truly ambitious manner with players having the ability to recruit and play as any NPC character they find in the city. This concept was highlighted perfectly by the gameplay reveal for Watch Dogs: Legion where an Elderly woman, who turned out to be a retired assassin, named Helen was shown using drones to hack into enemy technology and taking down armed guards following the player having died when using another Deadsec member.

Roller Champions

The new title of Roller Champions was also revealed during the E3 2019 press conference from Ubisoft, and it looks to be a title that will satisfy any competitor’s need for adrenaline-fueled competition. A free-to-play PVP sports game, Roller Champions is Roller Derby turned up to the max in a way only a video game could capture. Players can try Roller Champions out for free currently, as there is a demo for the newly announced game available on PC through the Uplay store until June 14th.

Rainbow Six Quarantine

Looking to see the same kind of success that Rainbow Six Siege has seen in the world of PVP shooters in the PVE world, Ubisoft revealed Rainbow Six Quarantine on Monday, June 10th. Rainbow Six Quarantine is a three-player cooperative tactical shooter that will see players battling against a “new breed of mutated alien parasite infecting human hosts and their surroundings.” Set several years in the future of the Rainbow Six Universe, Quarantine will be looking to deliver the first true horror-themed title in the historic first-person shooter franchise.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint (Feat. Jon Bernthal & Bam Bam the Dog)

E3 2019 has been all about highly entertaining appearances stealing the show at each press conference. This trend began with the surprise reveal of Keanu Reeves and his involvement with Cyberpunk 2077 and the incredibly wholesome reveal of Bethesda’s GhostWire: Tokyo by Creative Director Ikumi Nakamura. However, it would not stop with the presentation for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, as Jon Bernthal, who plays the title’s antagonist of Cole D. Walker, appeared on stage with his adorable dog Bam Bam who quickly stole the hearts of the internet. Ubisoft also revealed that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will be having a Beta starting September 5th, post-launch AI teammates for solo players, and an official community that players can be members of called Ghost Recon Delta Company.

It was no secret that a large number of viewers tuning into the E3 2019 press conference for Square Enix were anxiously awaiting to watch the worldwide reveal of the mysterious Marvel’s Avengers game. Fortunately for these folks, they were treated to the first official trailer for Marvel’s Avengers that showed a story where the Avengers have been outlawed following a destructive event where the majority of San Francisco is laid to ruin. Players will be able to wield the power of Captain America, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor when Marvel’s Avengers officially releases on May 15th, 2020.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix made sure to provide plenty of coverage for its highly anticipated remake of Final Fantasy VII during its E3 2019 press conference.
